Mother of Four
Perhaps Terry's strongest credentials are that she is the mother of four children. As a parent, she understands the many demands and challenges facing today's parents. She also knows that amidst the chaos, parents sometimes need support in maintaining both their sanity and a balanced life. That's where parent coaching comes in. With the power to transform lives, parent coaching helps parents with the most important job in the world - raising well adjusted children in a healthy home environment.
Certified Coach
A professionally trained and certified coach, Terry brings the power of personal coaching to family living. In our oftentimes overly-indulgent society, she empowers parents to raise self-reliant children. With her innate listening and problem solving gifts, she helps parents find solutions to their parenting problems. Whether through one-on-one coaching, workshops or courses, she helps them to better develop their parenting skills so that their parenting is easier, less stressful and less frustrating.
Terry holds a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Toronto. Trained through the Coaches Training Institute and the Adler School of Professional Parent Coaching, she is a member of the International Coach Federation, Coachville and the Ontario College of Teachers. As Canada's first licensed and certified Coach-Parenting Coach, she is now an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation, the gold standard of the professional coaching community.
Keynote Speaker
Terry has delivered presentations to groups across Canada from Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa to Halifax. Organizations include Telus Mobility, Canadian Tire, Genisys, Discovery Toys, Alberta Pediatric Dentists, University of Toronto, PLASP, private schools, University of Western Ontario and a variety of parenting expos, to name a few. Always entertaining, warm and inviting, Terry's signature style includes real -life stories that keep her audiences asking for more.
Media Personality
Terry has been featured in publications such as Today's Parent, What's Up Kids, The Ottawa Citizen, The Toronto Star, and Canadian Living, to name a few. She has also been a guest on many television and radio shows including Balance Television for Living Well, The National, Planet Parent, City-TV, CBC Radio and CFRB. Currently, she is the resident parenting coach on Daytime Peel live on alternate Monday afternoons at 4:00 pm (repeating at 11:00 pm and 11:00 am the next day). As a media spokesperson for different corporate projects, including ones with Graco, Nestle Nesquik, Fisher-Price, UnderJams (from Proctor and Gamble) and Blink (by Honeywell), she continues to share her expertise with the Canadian public.
